Prelim-Midterm exam result

Prelim-Midterm Exam Result Formula for the computation of grades:

 Raw Score __________________ X Base Score + (100 – Base Score) = Percentage
Total Number of points
  •  Raw Score - the score you got, your actual score.
  • Total no. of points - total number of items in the exam = 25 pts.
  • Base Score - the passing percentage = 40%. You should get a score 40% of the total number of items just to get a passing grade.
  • Percentage - the percentage equivalent of your Raw Score
Example: Raw score = 21 pts
21/25 = 0.84 X 40 = 33.6 + 60 = 93.6%
[note 60 = 100 - 40, Base Score]

Note: 25/26 = 100% perfect mark
 6.0 = 70% passing mark

Sensus Fidelium

Sensus Fidelium (Sense of the Faithful). In the lecture 1/1113, I was talking about the "democratizating" effect; of Proverbs (Ceresko, p.45) and related it to the idea in Catholic Dogmatic theology where all believers (meaning, the faithful, not only the magisterium) help elaborate Christian truth. This concept is called sensus fidelium and was at the heart of theology of Blessed John Henry Newman. Please click here for a a further explanation of sensus fidelium.
